Tom Baker – International Man of Misery
Actor, accordionist, ventriloquist, compere & general ‘International Man of Misery’ Tom Baker is an all round performer with a taste for the bizarre & a dark poetry all of his own. Travelling in from London, UK with a suitcase full of musical & theatrical talent, Tom will not only be rousing the crowd to song, he will also perform ventriloquism with his Victorian “knee-pal” Hugo & unforgettably bring forth his Lovecraftian crooning alter ego H P Lovebox.
Tom Baker is lead singer & accordionist of alt-cabaret band The Bohemianauts (& previously Fantasmagoria). He has toured across Europe as well as played at many of London’s top cabaret nights (Double R Club, Black Cat Cabaret, Boom Boom Club, It’s YOUR Funeral), & has appeared as an actor in plays such as Ken Campbell’s epic 24-hour show The Warp, John Constable’s Southwark Mysteries, & most recently Daisy Eris Campbell’s Cosmic Trigger. He is the regular host at Glastonbury Festival’s infamous Underground Piano Bar, & co-creator of east London’s alternative cabaret night Antic Follies. We are thrilled he is joining the line up at this year’s GCSE.
